SMITHVILLE — After falling on the road to Platte County in Week 6, Smithville football has bounced back strong with three wins in a row to end the regular season.

SMITHVILLE — After falling on the road to Platte County in Week 6, Smithville football has bounced back strong with three wins in a row to end the regular season.

Smithville football hit the road for the final time of the regular season and returned home with a 73-0 win over Grandview Friday, Oct. 17.

It was a tough week on the road for Smithville football as it fell to undefeated Platte County, 49-7, Friday, Oct. 3.

SMITHVILLE — The ball rolled on the ground and into the hands of senior linebacker Tristan Waters. All that’s in front of him — 33 yards of green and the north end zone.

Smithville football bounced back with a bang as it defeated Oak Park 42-21 Friday, Sept. 19.

The local area was well represented on a national stage as multiple athletes competed in the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals July 10 through 19 in Fargo, North Dakota.

COLUMBIA — Smithville boys wrestling finished its season with a pair of great performances in the Class 3 State Tournament Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28 and March 1, inside Mizzou Arena.

Smithville boys wrestling put together a successful outing in the Class 3 District 4 Tournament Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21 and 22, in Belton.
