William Wayne Harris, 84, formerly of Liberty and Kearney, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. He was born on March 22, 1940, in Carthage, to Bill and Evelyn (Turner) Harris.
 William found solace in the great outdoors, with camping trips being a favorite pastime, allowing him to connect with nature’s tranquility. His hands were skilled, and his mind creative, evident in the beautiful woodworking and paintings he crafted.
 A dedicated diesel mechanic by trade, William possessed a talent for working with his hands, a skill that extended into his artistic pursuits. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
 William was a loving father to Gregory Harris (Karen) of Liberty, Eric Harris (Cara) of Higginsville, and Trey Harris-Clymore (John) of Raytown, and a proud grandfather to Faith Harris.
 He is also survived by his brothers, Richard Harris (Marilyn) of Gulf Shores, AL and Allen Harris of Liberty.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Patty Carter, and Kay Ford; and sister-in-law, Ruth Harris.
 He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends.
